The Carroll-Frederick VE team, affiliated with the Laurel VEC, provides amateur radio testing in the Westminster Maryland area, typically after each license course the Carroll County Amateur Radio Club offers.
Though we prefer to stay local, if you want to discuss the team coming to your area for a test, contact us.
All testing is free.
If you are in the area, and want to talk about becoming a Volunteer Examiner, have questions, or want to reach out to us, please use the form below.
Preregistration for testing speeds the process of getting checked in. Though we strongly encourage preregistration, walk-ins are always welcome. You will need your Federal Registration Number (FRN). To get your FRN, visit the FCC’s website at https://apps.fcc.gov/coresWeb/publicHome.do.
Our next test is TBD. You will need your FRN, photo ID, and any CSCEs for past exam credit. To preregister visit Preregistration. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you have questions please contact us with the form below.
The Carroll-Frederick VE Team is semi-affiliated with the Carroll County Amateur Radio Club. You do not have to be a club member to either use our services or be a VE with us. Thanks go to the club for hosting this page and their support to the team.
